About Me

Hi, I'm Duncan Lowder - an electrical engineer, founder, and perpetual tinkerer based in Seattle.

My career has taken me on an interesting path through the world of hardware. I started out designing skis at Resolution Skis, moved into embedded systems at Backcountry Access, and then spent time leading test engineering at Sphero (yes, the robot ball) and Glowforge (laser cutters!). In 2019, I founded FixturFab with a mission to make hardware testing as fast and painless as software testing.

When I'm not thinking about circuit boards and test fixtures, you'll find me exploring new places around the world, experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes and flavor combinations, or diving into whatever technology has caught my attention lately. This blog is where I share it all - travel stories, recipes I've perfected, and technical deep-dives.
